What happens when emotions are suppressed?

Suppressed emotions that are not taken out become fatal and when it comes out — it erupts like a volcano. The emotions that recede slowly, keep coming out of the human ecosystem are better than long-suppressed emotions.

Emotions are like a child, who knows no boundaries. Emotions are honest. When a child doesn’t like something he cries and it’s the same with the emotions. Tears come out when you are filled with sadness or drops in joy. Tears are a beautiful rendition of emotions.

On the contrary, how is it when you can’t say anything when you want to say so many things (or take out your emotions)? Why does this situation come into people’s lives when they have to go through such a situation where they can’t express themselves willingly?

“Take control of your emotions before emotions control you” - Scott Dye

It’s good to take emotions out of the system that you can’t handle. The question is — what if it’s taken out and not accepted amiably? What if everything goes against you and makes the situation worse than your current situation.

Finding peace within is really important, but thinking uninviting thoughts brings more trouble. When do you become sad? Or what do you want others to do when you are sad? Understand you? Listen to you? Pamper you? or Stay away from you?

On the other hand, if you are told that the problem is within you and you are the main problem of everything and no one else is responsible then what will you do? Withdraw, Compromise, adjust and try to understand or run away from the situation? What if you are working genuinely on the issues and still your efforts are not evident enough for others then what will you do? You will stay mum, express or argue, right?

Arguments lead to fights and ultimately makes the situation ugly. Staying mum gives a signal that you still hold the grudges and are not ready to compromise. Again you are termed as someone who is only thinking about himself, selfish and holds no importance to others.

How to make the situation better or take out emotions and clear your heart while being empathetic towards others? Simple — leave your egos and address the core issues. When you take out the thorns completely — the flower will bloom.

Life is short and emotions are endless. Easy to run away from the situation but it keeps coming back to you. It’s better to address them and feel peace within.
